Institute Policies on Absences & Make-up Classes

Students are expected to attend all classes. If students find that they must miss a class, it is their responsibility to inform the Institute of the absence either by phone at 503-679-7976 or via email to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). The Institute will inform the instructor of the student’s absence. Students who wish to make-up the missed 14 week or 7 week teen voice class may do so by registering for and attending a Voice Lab class, and may attend any time during the term. The Voice Lab was formerly our drop in class and is taught by Linda Brice with our Apprentice teachers. There is no fee for a make-up class. Musicianship classes will be videotaped for learning purposes if a student is absent. It is essential that students who wish to make up a Musicianship Level 1, 2, or 3 class make an appointment with the Institute to review the video before the beginning of the next class.
