Vocal Mastery II

We continue in this 14 week course to iteratively explore, apply and embody the Cycle of Breath-Based Vocalization to further sense vocal freedom. We extend our study of registers into the upper voice – registers three and four. We sense and play with developing smooth passages between the registers. We are introduced to the principles of diction, including vowel conformations and their affect on tone quality. We are shown how to modify those vowels when singing in the upper voice (register three), in order to achieve ease and beauty. We further explore the implications of our voice type on range, keys chosen, and repertoire sung. Step by step, we are guided in the Institute’s methodology for learning music that integrates musicianship with vocal technique. We are assigned our first piece and begin to learn it with this methodology.

Summer 2012 Semester starts the week of Tuesday, May 1st, 2012.

Tuition for 14 and 8 Week Summer Classes:
$40 per week for one class ($560 total for 14 weeks or $320 total for 8 weeks)
$75 per week for two classes ($1050 total for 14 weeks or $600 total for 8 weeks)
$110 per week for three classes ($1540 total for 14 weeks or $880 total for 8 weeks)

NOTE: Continuing students must register before April 24 shortly to avoid a $75 late fee. A deposit (payment for the first three classes) is required immediately with registration to reserve your spot in the class(es). Payment plans for remaining tuition will be emailed to you and must be in place prior to the first day of classes on Tues., May 1st, 2012. Failure to set up your payment plan prior to the first day of classes will result in forfeiture of your spot in the class. We have interest free monthly and weekly payment options available.
